Franklinton is a big part of Ohio's captivating past and is filled with stories of daring individuals who ventured into this region, driven by their dreams and aspirations. The determination and growth of these pioneers established Franklinton as a key settlement, paving the way for Columbus to become the capital of the great state of Ohio.

​The Franklinton Historical Society and the Franklinton Board of Trade have united with America 250-Ohio to form a committee within our community. Together, we are planning a series of programs, events, and celebrations for the Ohio Semiquincentennial, each month in 2026. Our monthly themes, in sync with America 250-Ohio, will spotlight a different aspect of Franklinton's unique and proud history.

We invite all community members and organizations to participate in creating and fostering engagement in future activities here in Franklinton.
